Getting familiar with Iran & Isfahan

Islamic Republic of Iran with an area of 1648000 Km2 and 70 million population is located in the Middle East, Asia.Its neighbors are Turkey, Iraq , Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and from Southern part extends to Persian Gulf.

Economy of Iran is divided into three parts: Governmental, Cooperative, and Private. Major  industries and economical sections are: petrochemical industries , steel industries , auto industries, construction equipment and industry , foodstuff , textile, hand – woven carpets , handicrafts ,agricultural products , and technical and engineering services.

 

 

      Isfahan  province  because  of  it’s economical and industrial  situation   plays  a  special  role  in  enormous economical equations.

The existence of 8000 industrial units , grand industries , agricultural  mines and interesting sights for tourists  are considered of its advantages.

Regarding  energy  issues  specially  electricity energy in this province with its special capabilities make Isfahan to be one of the important provinces in producing, distribution and transferring electricity energy.

Overall production of Isfahan’s electrical power stations including Shahid Montazeri, HESA and Diesel are more than 15736 million K.W. per hour.

On the other hand Power Ministry has decided to build five Gas Power Stations according to  BOO method  with the capacity of 2500 MW and completing BOT power Station, located in South Isfahan ( Chehel Sotoon ) , and  developing  and  extending transferring lines in Eastern part of this province.
